Favorite zone for group farming: Fissure and Perdition Rock. Normally I go there with random pug's, but sometimes I go with guild mates.
Favorite zone for solo/two man farming (money maker): Sand Wurms for bleached shells, and Underworld. |

i love solo farming monitars (get this) in black curtain. Y? its fun to watch 20 of them pound on you getting nowhere, they die fast, and a quick rezone into kessex peak and you get to do it a gain, yay fun. i dont really do it for money, more for self confiednece and to take a break from uw and fow. i also like to help people with villany of garneth. we get to that part and i tell everyone to stand back and watch. and i love it when they say something like "omg how are you not dying" and i just flash the wolf and say "fm". and they say "whats fm?" and i say "effing magic. now bow down!" lol j/k

I prefer to do the Ettins East of Beetletun over past the Ascalon Settlement.
I use this build. Works for me: Dismember Penetrating Blow Executioner's Strike Sprint Cyclone Axe Berserker Stance Gladiator's Defense Mending Healing Prayer - 8 Strenght - 8 + 1 Axe Mastery - 9 + 4 Tactics - 11 + 1 Superior Vigor Full Gladiator's Armor Victo's Battle Axe (Customized) Grognar's Defender I have been sorta of farming the ring of fire area lately. Alot of guildies finally got past Thunderhead and needed the missions. |

Some personal observations of mine with regard to solo-farming (<-- so you really want to go all alone into the big, big world; dated Feb 9, 2006; these can obviously change in the future):
Augury Rock, west exit, griffons - takes a long time, 1-3K per run, decent XP Augury Rock, north exit, hydras - takes a long time, 1-3K per run, decent XP Droknar's Forge, north exit, trolls - takes a long time, 1-3K per run, lovely XP Bergen Hot Springs, north exit, lots of undead (avoid mesmers ) - very quick, 1-3K per run, poor XP (if at all) Rune farming north of Lion's Arch (read up on the path that uses the exits west of the settlement and in the northeast of the map) - can take long, kill the boss at the beach if available for extra morale, identify, only expert-salvage what you want to sell as runes (read: don't salvage superior runes that sell for 25 gold) - made about 150K in 4 hours recently (not normal, I would expect xxK as a standard), poor XP (if at all) Arid Sea (area) various monsters - takes time to get there, 2-4K per run, good XP Iron Mines of Moladune (mission), various monsters - takes some time, 2-4K per run, good XP Titan quests, various monsters - very decent drops, you may have to work on your builds, 5-10K per run, excellent XP Gates of Kryta, north exit, mergoyles - very easy, approx. 1K per run, poor XP (if at all) ... I train pets there and make about 20-30K per pet trained ... Denravi's Refuge, south exit, various monsters - can be tricky at times, but you get free AI help (think about how you will keep them alive the longest ), nice drops incl. various high value perfect mods, 2-4K per run, mediocre XP Ecto farming in the destroyed tombs - it requires a unique build but can yield some ecto, think about killing the enemies without being in their vicinity, perhaps the ecto price is not too excellent, but it is a fun run Bleached shell farming, either at the end of your griffon/minotaur run or separately in the southern part of Vulture Drifts (Dunes of Despair, south exit) - not worth it; you can quickly accumulate a decent amount of shells, but I found that the market for selling those is reasonably small; buyers are not willing to pay an appropriate amount that would coincide with earnings on different farming endeavors. Icy dragon sword farming, north exit of The Granite Citadel - takes a long time, unreliable with regard to the outcome (i.e. too low a chance of the drop) Chest farming (no key), Dreadnaught's Drift - I do not consider that a viable farming option as it takes a while to get there, the drops do not warrant the effort; as such, it's more of a reward for a runner doing his or her warm-up jog Last but not least ... my advice ... visit the unknown. With the exception of Ascalon City and Lion's Arch, if a town has more than 2 districts, chance is that heavy farming is going on. Go to the outposts in the middle of nowhere with 1 empty district, venture outside, figure out how to deal with your opponents, and the gold will just keep on coming. PS: I don't want to hear "you farm too much" now ... PS II: Somebody was saying that posting farming spots renders them void by bringing them to the attention of Anet. I disagree. On the one hand, Anet certainly knows what is going on in the game. On the other hand, as they say, "there is much more where that came from" ... finding a spot is rather ... em ... simple. |

Ember Light Cmap is easily solo-able with a warrior and yields plenty of golds. Trading Magho Claws for scrolls rakes in the money pretty fast too.

I'm glad to see people actually sharing this information. I've been out of the game for a bit and it's good to see that despite all the nerf-phobias, none of the old tried and true areas have been beat down.
Personally, I usually grab four henchies and go through Grenth and SF. Don't get any greens, but managed to get a superior vigor and two major vigors on one short run of grenths. |

I have never heard of that before, you can train someone else's pet and then give it back to them?? pretty cool.......but strange.... hmmmm, maybe I should open a pet store.... |
